Monarch Lake is one of the most universally active spots you can find in Grand County, Colorado. You can hike, paddle, fish and cross country ski the area. You might see a moose, fox or other wildlife. The most amazing aspect of this morning that had me in awe was the calm still water. It is extremely rare that it is this calm and to capture it you must arrive early! The peace quiet and reflection is like none other.
